These awards are granted to 'emerging new talent and outstanding works in the genre of middle -grade readers, (...) that compel children to read and explore.'
Entries go through several, rigorous judging roun
We're proud and delighted to have been recognised as a SEMI-FINALIST in the 2019 Gertrude Warner Awards for Middle Grade Readers!
These awards are granted to 'emerging new talent and outstanding works in the genre of middle -grade readers, (...) that compel children to read and explore.'
Entries go through several, rigorous judging rounds and must progress from the slush pile to the longlist and then the shortlist before reaching the semi-finals.
(Norman's not sure what a slush pile is but he's very glad to be out of it!)
